ETSY FEATURE FRIDAY - Enjoy Jewelry Boutique
Since starting my first shop back in 2010 (I've gone through selling phases) I have enjoyed getting to know who was buying my products. Hearing peoples stories and the inspiration behind their shops is what drives me to continue my own shop.
I wanted to highlight these shops and most importantly, the people behind those shops. So begins, Etsy Feature Friday.
Our first feature is a lovely shop, Enjoy Jewelry Boutique, from Julie Grant. She actually owns two shops on Etsy. We did a little Q & A with Julie:
What is your shops name? And what do you sell?
Enjoy Jewelry Boutique and The Whimsy Brush. Enjoy Jewelry Boutique has a variety bracelets, bangles, pendant necklaces and more. All glass images are hand crafted (with mostly Gracie and Joy images!) Jewelry is boho and inspirational inspired in style at an affordable price point. Custom photo images are also available on all pendants and cuff bracelets. The Whimsy Brush has a variety of hand painted unique creations and fancy goods for the home! Custom family name signs and personalized signs are a large part of this shop!
Who or what inspired you to start selling?
I found my birth mother at age 26 and she was my inspiration to learn to paint because she was an amazing painter! She signed me up for my first painting class and the rest is history! When unsatisfied with a career after 18 years I decided to pursue my dream to work a creative job and work from home. That is when I decided to open my first Etsy Shop, The Whimsy Brush. My inspiration to begin my second Etsy shop was to have something that I could fill in my down time with and have another product that is made at the time of order. Thus, Enjoy Jewelry Boutique has been launched.
What is your favorite part of creating?
My favorite part of creating is just being able to work from home. Home is my happy place and creating at home is the icing on the cake!
Do you sell at craft shows? If so, where?
I currently only do one craft show a year and that is The Indie Trunk Show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in December. I begin to prepare for that show usually in August.
Any advice for anyone wanting to start their own Etsy shop?
My main advice is to be patient. It takes time to be seen but once people start finding you it is just a matter of time before you will start to begin having sales.
Where else can we find you?
